A collaborative effort between senior and junior elements of Wanderers Rugby Football Club has seen the introduction of:
"THE WANDERERS RUGBY ACADEMY"
What is the Academy ?
The Academy is our latest program to introduce, transition and forster members from our successfull Junior club into the environment, surrounds and framework of the Wanderers Rugby Football Club. The Academy will be run under the guidance of select and specialist coaches, players and mentors from the Senior club.
Sessions will be tailored to meet specific needs of the group with a strong focus on:
- Core Rugby Skills + Development
- Position Specific Skills + Development
- Enjoyment and Challenge
Members will also be exposed to all aspects of Wanderers Rugby Football Club inc:
- Quality Coaching
- Expert Strength & Conditioning Guidance and Advice
- Senior Mentor Program to assist with Tertiary Education and Careers
- Health and Injury Management
- Mental Health & Drug and Alcohol Awareness Issues
Members will receive
- Training Singlet
- Gym Programs
- Academy Handout
- Player Profiler
Who is it for ?
The Academy is an open and inclusive program for ALL Wanderers Rugby players and their friends from U15's to U20's (Colts).
How do i get involved ?
Simply come along with a parent or friend to one of our select "Academy Days" on a Wednesday Evening from 6pm at Empire Park or No.2 Sportsground when completed.
What does it cost ?
There is no charge to be part of the Wanderers Academy.
